Plain terms for a simple deal: we show you what your truck would look like, you tell us what you want, we confirm it on a call, and only then does anyone pay for anything.
What a render is, and what it is not
The render is a preview. We build it from your own photo, the exact part you picked, and measurements taken from that photo — it is as honest as we can make it, and it is still a picture, not a promise.
- Color on your screen is not color in daylight. Finishes, especially machined and polished ones, look different in the metal.
- A preview is not a fitment guarantee. Fitment is confirmed by a person on the phone before anything ships, using your year, make, model, trim and current setup.
- Where a render is generated with less measurement than usual, the page says so on the render itself.
Your photo stays yours
You keep every right to the photo you upload. By uploading it you give us permission to store and process it for the single purpose of building your renders and quoting your build. We do not use your truck in advertising unless you tell us we may, in writing, and you can withdraw that at any time.
Upload only photos you have the right to use. Do not upload anything with another person's face, a readable license plate you do not own, or anything unlawful.
Prices, and why they are confirmed on a call
- Prices shown come from our distributors and change without notice. The price that counts is the one confirmed on your call.
- Availability shown is a recent snapshot, not a reservation. Nothing is held for you until an order is confirmed.
- No payment is taken on this website. You submit a build, we call you within one business day, and only after you confirm on that call do we send a payment link.
- We may decline or cancel an order — for example when a price was listed in obvious error, a part is discontinued, or the fitment will not work safely. If you have already paid, you get all of it back.
Fitment and safety
Wheels, tires and suspension change how a truck brakes, steers and carries load. We check what we can and we will tell you when a combination is a bad idea. Final responsibility for a safe, legal installation is the installer's and the owner's. Have your parts fitted by a qualified shop, torque to specification, and re-torque after the first 50 to 100 miles.
Modifying a vehicle can affect its manufacturer warranty, and some combinations are not street legal in every state. Check your local law.
Your account
Keep your sign-in details to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us at once if you think someone else has access. We may suspend an account being used to abuse the site or other people.
The limits of what we owe you
We stand behind what we sell: if we get your order wrong, we make it right. Beyond that, and to the extent the law allows, BuildMyTruck is not liable for indirect or consequential losses — lost time, lost work, or the cost of installation — and our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us for the part it concerns. Parts carry their manufacturer's warranty, which we will help you claim.
Nothing here takes away a right your state's consumer law gives you.
Which law applies
These terms are governed by the law of the State of Louisiana. If we ever end up in a dispute, let us talk first — email hello@buildmytruck.us. Almost everything is fixable with a phone call.
